The Community and Advocacy Manager, who will be based in the Digital Humanities Research Hub at the School of Advanced Study, will be responsible for engaging with a wide range of stakeholders for digital humanities research, teaching and infrastructure. They will manage relationships with policy-makers, funding bodies, digital research infrastructure partners, independent research organisations, the creative industries and the technology sector. They will be responsible for supporting the UK-Ireland DHA Community Interest Groups and delivering a programme of community consultation events. Working with all of the UK-Ireland DHA’s communities, they will also develop a digital humanities value matrix, which will assist researchers and practitioners in advocating for their work within a range of local, national and international contexts.

We are looking for someone with a good understanding of the landscape of digital scholarship in the arts and humanities in Ireland and the UK and demonstrable experience of work in the fields of community engagement and advocacy. The successful candidate will also have well-developed academic writing and editing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a range of communities and audiences.
